Reports and the Activity page

How to read AlgoThink's performance reports, and how the Activity page explains every decision the platform made on your behalf — including the ones it skipped.

Two pages answer two different questions. Reports tells you how you did. Activity tells you what the platform did on your behalf — including everything it decided not to do.

Reports

Under Reports in the sidebar (a Pro feature). Pick a period — real-time, daily, weekly or monthly — and you get:

  • Realized PnL and the equity change across the period, with a sparkline.
  • Trades, win rate, profit factor and max drawdown.
  • Average win / average loss and your best and worst trade.
  • A per-strategy breakdown — trades and net PnL for each, so you can see which are actually carrying you.

Daily reports generate each morning for the previous day, weekly on Monday, monthly on the 1st. Delivery by Telegram and email is configurable under Account; the reports appear on this page either way. See setting up alerts.

Reports only count closed trades — an open position that's currently up doesn't show as profit until it's realized.

Activity

Under Activity in the sidebar, and free on every tier. Every row is one decision, with a plain-English reason:

  • acted — a position was opened, closed or rebalanced.
  • skipped — a suggestion existed but wasn't taken, and why: the strategy wasn't in your autonomous selection, the signal ran counter to the current regime, it overlapped exposure you already had, the size came out too small, or the suggestion simply expired.
  • blocked — something stopped it at the execution gate: a hard risk limit, insufficient cash, a spread too wide or an order book too thin, or a missing acknowledgment.

You can filter by outcome and by reason. This is the page to open when you're wondering "why didn't it trade that?" — the answer is almost always recorded there.

Decision quality

On the Dashboard there's a third view worth knowing about. Every suggestion — approved or rejected — is replayed against later prices until its stop or target would have hit. That lets the platform compare three things: taking every signal blindly, taking only the ones you approved, and following the AI reviewer's opinions.

After enough signals it answers a question most trading tools never ask: is your judgment actually adding value?

What to consider

  • Small samples lie. Ten trades tell you almost nothing about win rate or profit factor. Give it a few dozen before concluding anything.
  • A quiet Activity page isn't a broken one. Long runs of "skipped" entries usually mean your filters are doing their job.
  • Check Activity before support. Most "why did this happen" questions are already answered there, timestamped.
